Over the past three years, DMS has awarded more than $86,000 in higher education grants to reward academic achievement. In 2012 $22,000 was donated to three students towards their academic year tuition. By accepting the grant, recipients commit to working at DMS through their summer and autumn terms.
Applications for 2015 are now open. The main criteria are that you must be over the age of 18, Caymanian, min of 3.0 GPA and available for interview in the month of June. This is an educational grant and so recipients MUST have secured core funding elsewhere in order to be eligible and for funds granted by DMS to be released.

The Joanna Clarke Excellence in Education Award (JCA) was created by DMS in 2007 to honour local educator Ms. Joanna Clarke and to recognize the efforts of persons and organizations that contribute to education in the Cayman Islands. Education is at the centre of our community engagement priorities and we have donated more than $100,000 since the creation of the award.
Non-profit organizers and or educational entities may apply for funding for specific education-related initiatives.
The Joanna Clarke Excellence in Education Scholarship donates up to $5,000 to an educator or person, seeking to develop a career in education.
